1. Nature of the Service
Wareham Residents Directory is a privately run reference to public record indexes, rolls, and directory collections relating to Wareham, Massachusetts. It links to sources held by public offices, courts, libraries, and other custodians. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with any custodian or government office.
2. Acceptable Use
Use the service only for lawful purposes. You may not use this service or any material reached through it to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm a person
- Locate a person protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit identity theft, fraud, or another unlawful act
- Make FCRA-regulated credit, employment, tenant, insurance, or similar decisions
- Scrape, copy, or republish the service at scale
- Interfere with the service's security or operation
3. No Consumer Reports
Wareham Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency as that term is defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. §1681 et seq. Neither material here nor output from a linked search tool is a consumer report. It may not be used to determine eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or any other FCRA-covered purpose.
4. External Services
Official portals, libraries, archives, and sponsored search providers are independent services with their own terms, data practices, availability, and charges. We do not control or endorse their content, results, or policies.
5. No Warranties
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that text, links, coverage, or an outside portal is accurate, complete, current, available, or suited to a particular use.
6. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or other damages resulting from use of the service or a linked resource, including action taken based on a record found through it.
7. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the service operators from claims, demands, and reasonable attorneys' fees arising from your misuse of the service or breach of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The original text, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a short passage with attribution are permitted. Republishing full pages or systematically copying material is not permitted.
9. Term Updates
We may revise these terms by posting an updated version here. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the revised terms.
10. Restricting Access
We may suspend, block, or limit access for a user who breaches these terms or misuses the service, with or without advance notice.
11. Massachusetts Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Requests for existing Wareham administrative public records are subject to the Massachusetts Public Records Law, M.G.L. c.66 §10. That statute does not convert protected records, court files, or third-party service data into material controlled by this private service.
12. Severability
If a provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
